this is too amazing...

Apparently, some production studio recently held an editing contest to see who could best re-make the trailer of a famous film so that it advertised something completely different; e.g., the runner up was West Side Story as a zombie flick (a la 28 Days Later). you bet. I read in an article that accompanied the video clip, though, that the editor had trouble finding shots where Jack Nicholson's eyebrows didn't betray utter sinisterness. I wonder what other movies you could do this with....

this blog, I don't know whose, has the links. the West Side Story one is worth checking out; the others are less clever but still entertaining (Titanic as a horror film (too easy, really), The Parent Trap as a coming-of-age lesbian love story, and Psycho as a romance). have fun!
